The Indiana State University’s Omeka site is designed to be a collection of past and present stories, images, videos, and recordings donated by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana. The Special Collections Department of Cunningham Memorial Library conceived of this project to help preserve the diverse stories of the Indiana State University community for generations to come. By uploading images to the ISU Omeka site, current Sycamores will ensure that their photos are preserved by the University Archives for future Sycamores. Current photos will live alongside historic photos taken from the Indiana State University Archives. Serving as a social hub, this site allows Sycamores to interact and learn from the past and present to establish an ISU community across time and space.
In addition, this site contains digital exhibits based on materials housed in the Cunningham Memorial Library’s Department of Special Collections. Many of these exhibits are digital reproductions of temporary physical exhibits on display on the 3rd floor of the Cunningham Memorial Library.
The materials on this Website have been made available for use in research, teaching and private study. For these purposes, you may reproduce (print, make photocopies, or download) materials from this site without further permission on the condition that you provide the following attribution of the source on all copies: Omeka.indstate.edu.
