Market places have always drawn people for their sights, sounds, and general excitement and commotion. They are also one of the first places a traveler is introduced to native cuisine. John Clements studiously photographed and noted almost every meal he had while traveling even keeping menus from restaurants, hotels, planes, and cruises.  Many people view food is a major reason to travel because eating the local foods is an essential part of getting to know the culture of a place.
