The Leaves of Our Trees

Whether written down in letters, published in articles, or orally recorded: faculty, staff, and students’ memories and stories of Indiana State University display the triumphs, fun, heartache, sorrow and everyday struggles of life and work at ISU.  Like the tree for which we are known, each generation of Sycamores live, work, and bleed blue nourish the ever growing new generation of Sycamores.  Told within the progression of the seasons during the typical academic year, the stories in this exhibit intermix memories from ISU’s earliest few Sycamores with the numerous Sycamores of recent years.  Follow us during the school year as we explore the memories of your fellow students and employees seeing how life at Indiana State has changed and stayed the same.
